The journey of writing this book, "Anticariogenic Alternatives of Fluoride", has been both a personal dream and an academic pursuit. Ever since my Undergraduate days, I envisioned contributing something meaningful to the eld and this book is the realization of that vision.

The idea for this work was rst conceived while selecting the topic for my Library Dissertation during my Postgraduation. While researching, I realized a signicant gap in readily available literature focusing specically on non-uoride anticariogenic agents, especially tailored for dental students and practitioners. Despite the growing interest in alternative preventive strategies, there was a lack of a dedicated resource compiling evidence based options beyond uoride. This absence further motivated me to delve deeper into the topic and eventually transform my academic ndings into a book that could serve as a comprehensive reference.

This book is especially intended for dental students, postgraduate scholars, educators, and professionals seeking a clear and concise overview of anticariogenic agents that can act as potential alternatives to uoride. It brings together scientic literature, clinical relevance, and public health perspectives, aiming to provide a well rounded understanding of the subject.
